Notes: This is an all day event at historic Dover Green in Dover, DE.

We do have rain contingencies in place in the information that we have provided you. Don’t forget, Market Fair is rain or shine! If it is not a heavy rain, we will continue to have most things outside and move things indoors where necessary. Please let me know if you want to be outside or inside to I can create a modified rain plan like last year. IF IT IS A HURRICAINE or really, really bad weather, we will cancel the event.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR 1st DE Regiment: 

MAP LOCATION: 15

PARKING: Your designated parking lot assignment is Lot #3 - Victrola Musem lot

CLOTHING: Vendor will provide

TENT: Vendor will set up on Saturday

PERFORMANCE TIMES: Military Musters taking place on the 45 minute (10:45, 11:45, 12:45, 1:45, 2:45 and 3:45)

For those who are planning to have fire on The Green, the area and setup must be cleared by the designated certified fire professional, as per the City of Dover Fire Marshal regulations. This year the Fire Marshal has required that there be a fire extinguisher within three feet of the fire. I have purchased small fire extinguishers to be placed at each of the locations. Please plan to keep this in an inconspicuous location nearby your fire. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Length of Event: All Day – 9am – 4pm

Arrival Time For Regiment: 8am

Parking: Please park up just off the green on street or designated parking lot. 

Restrooms: Portapotties and Indoors – fully functioning inside state building – check with leader for location

Food and Beverages Provided: Yes – by Regiment or event organizer for lunch.

Encampment Setup Level: Small

Camp Kitchen Setup: Yes

Camp Kitchen Tent Fly: Yes

Supply Tent Setup: Yes

In Ground or Above Ground Fire Permitted: No

Individual Soldier Tents Permitted: Yes – Indicate to Officer of the Day if bringing your own soldier tent.

Water Provided: Yes – from volunteer staff

Straw Provided: No

Firewood Provided: No

Soldier Specific:

Impression: Delaware Continental uniform preferred.  Early war uniform preferred.  Otherwise, militia.

Kit Level: Full kit

Musket Firing: Yes

Musician Specific:

Contact Musician Sergeant-Major for music to be played at this event.  Military calls also to be demonstrated too if possible.

Civilian Specific:

Impression: Civilian followers of a military camp.

Table Displays Permitted: Yes – please indicate display you wish to show to Officer of the Day or Civilian Camp Coordinator (if applicable).

Supporter Specific:

Please assist in setup and/or breakdown if possible.  Also – please bring camera or video camera to take photographs or video if possible.  We will look to take posed photos that will be used to help educate the public if possible at each event this year.
