Baking Class at Chadds Ford Historical Society – 2023

Notes: A Bread Baking Class is being offered to the soldiers.  You will bake 4 loaves of bread each to bring home.  During the time that the yeast and dough need to proof you will sew a linen workman's cap linen that is being provided.  Please bring your housewife (sewing materials) with you to class if you have one. If not we will bring extra sewing supplies.  There is a YouTube video to assist you if you do not complete the cap at the class.  You are to participate in this class in period correct clothing. You do not need to come as a soldier.  If you have civilian clothing that is lighter weight please wear them, it will be hot.  You may see visitors walking the grounds and volunteers helping them during class.  If you want to talk with the public you are welcome to do so but is not a must.  These classes will be filled on a first come first served basis.  There are 10 spots open per class.  If the classes do not fill up, they will then be opened to civilians and the general membership.
