About the event

This is a full encampment setting that circles around Saturday all day event with a tavern night on Friday night.  Reenactors coming from afar are free to camp overnight starting on Friday afternoon and then can also overnight on Saturday and then leave by 1pm on Sunday.  Main day is Saturday.  We will be portraying local militia for this event.

-----------------------------

From the Event Organizers:

Situation:  Friday Night Tavern Night in Sunken Garden Area Next to Belmont Hall House.  Dinner meal covered by 1st Delaware Regiment on Friday Night - Just Prior to Tavern Night.  Tavern Night - BYOB - 1st Delaware Regiment will have Desserts/Food - Approximately 7pm-10pm on Friday night.  Absolutely NO alcohol of any kind on Saturday.  Friday night yes - but NOT at all during Saturday's event while public is onsite.  If you wish to stay on Saturday evening please let us know.

If weather is an issue - Sunday is the backup day.  Two Skirmishes on Saturday - one in morning and one in afternoon for about 20-30 minutes each - Sentinel Stationed on Widow's Walk at top of Belmont Hall is SHOT!  This triggers the skirmish/sham battle.  Lots of yelling and pointing...and then plenty of shooting (at a distance).  Very little "hits" in this engagement.

Reenactors can arrive after Noon on Friday to setup encampment or Saturday morning (Friday preferred) - Can also stay through to Sunday morning but must leave by Noon on Sunday.

Look for parking directions for Reenactors Only.

Tours of the historic Belmont Hall where a Sentry was really shot here - there was even a wooden fence perimeter around the building back then!
