Notes: This is an event in historic New Castle, DE. This is a parade and encampment event that is the main event on Saturday. It is our premiere event within the State of Delaware! Please make every effort to attend this event! Please see below for more information.

Schedule for Weekend:

Saturday

8am – All Arrive – Please plan ahead and look to be at the Encampment Area at the Green by this time.  Additional setup will still be needed and all.

9am – Roll Call – Each unit will do roll call for their members

10am – Parade Lineup Area for All Parade Participants

11am – Parade Kickoff

Immediately Post-Parade – Group Photo Shoot

Noon-1pm – Lunch

2pm – Detachment Marches to Battery Park – Demo at Battery Park – Return by 3pm

3pm – 4pm – Light Drill / Displays/Demos in Encampment Area

Immediately after Sunset – Fireworks at Battery Park

Parking: Please park in historic New Castle behind or to side of the Green after unloading at our encampment area on the historic Green or park in lot just outside of town and take bus in and out of area.  See website for more info.

Food and Beverages Provided: Yes – by Regiment or event organizer for lunch.

Soldier Specific:

Impression: Delaware Continental uniform preferred. Early war impression. Regimental or Hunting Frock.  Please bring both yellow trim tricorn and leather cap if you have both.

Kit Level: Full kit - Musket & Bayonet with Scabbard, Cartridge Box, Canteen, Haversack, Knapsack, Blanket, Plate, Utensils, Cup and Personal Items.

Musket Firing: Yes

Musician Specific:

Contact Musician Sergeant-Major for music to be played at this event. Military calls also to be demonstrated too if possible.

Civilian Specific:

Impression: Civilian followers of a military camp.

Table Displays Permitted: Yes. Check with Officer of the Day or Civilian Camp Coordinator (if applicable) about any displays or demonstrations.

Supporter Specific:

Please assist in setup and/or breakdown if possible. Also – please bring camera or video camera to take photographs or video if possible. We will look to take posed photos that will be used to help educate the public if possible at each event this year.

Separation Day is this Saturday!  Please register if you plan on attending.  8am is arrival time.  We will setup an encampment with tent fly, supply tent and at least 4 tents for demonstration purposes and for soldiers and civilians to use for the day.  We also will have our Regimental Surgeon at this event too.  Breakdown between 3-4pm.  We will have forays looking for Tories around the town of New Castle.  Word has it that there will be some in the Battery area near the Delaware River.  Roll call / Safety Inspection at 9am.  We are #23 in the parade.  Parade participants will need to be at the staging area by 10am.  Parade is at noon.  Group shot immediately after parade behind court house and on green.  Then lunch and blanket sale.  Then patrols and drills for Tories between 1 and 3pm.

The 1st Virginia are coming with 5 soldiers and 8 civilians.  The 1st Maryland are coming and it appears about 4-6 are coming from them.

We will also be having a fairly decent blanket sale that afternoon.  Former member Lou Perna is retiring from reenacting so we have plenty of clothing and gear from him to sell.
